A quick video of a classic Kato Thalys PBKA, with added sound.
I currently don’t have much time for my trains, and my layout still hasn’t moved. So here is a quick video of a Thalys PBKA EMU. I added a Doehler & Haass SD18A sound decoder (with Next18 interface) in the motor car, and the usual combo FH05A+SH10A sound module in the dummy car. Still lacks interior lighting though.
See you soon with more thorough model railroading updates!
Hi, I really like your site, since I discovered it I bought two D&H plux18 decoders with sound with the sound programmer and have installed it in the BR232 ludmilla. It works very well with the adapter, thanks for the intructions. I have one question regarding this Thalys and ICE, which sound file did you use? Is there any site with sounds besided the small database from D&H?
Thanks Paul. I don’t recall exactly but I did use a D&H electric sound that was close enough to an Alstom train. Unfortunately I am not aware of any other sound DB, but the D&H bank is slowly growing. Sound purists May prefer ESU or other brands that are more expensive but provide more extensive sound banks!
